Motherwell loan player Peter Hartley admits time is his biggest enemy
Peter Hartley admits time is his "biggest enemy" as he looks to rejuvenate his career at Motherwell.
The 29-year-old defender was signed by Blackpool in June but started only two games before he was allowed to go north on a one-year loan deal last week.
Hartley, who has had stints at Hartlepool, Stevenage, Plymouth and Bristol Rovers, is looking forward to making his 'Well debut against Kilmarnock at Fir Park on Saturday.
The Englishman said: "I signed at Blackpool with a goal to play in every single moment of every game.
"And when that didn't happen after three or four games I moved sharply to play because I am 29 and my biggest enemy is time, and I've got things that I need to achieve in my career.
"I can't sit in stands and watch games of football when the clock is ticking.
"My goal is to impress and be in the manager's plans here.
"If the gaffer selects me to play I am 100 per cent ready to give everything I've got and win the game.
