Motherwell complete loan signing of left-back James Furlong
The 20-year old joins from Brighton until the end of the season
Motherwell have completed their second transfer deadline day signing with James Furlong joining on loan from Brighton.
The Irish left-back arrives on a deal until the end of the season.
Steven Hammell was keen to add in that position with Matt Penney recalled by Ipswich Town earlier this month.
Furlong has made one appearance for Brighton's first team, coming off the bench in an EFL Cup tie against Forest Green Rovers in August.
On the signing, manager Steven Hammell said: “James is a young player who came highly recommended to us from Brighton.
“It’s a good opportunity for him and is seen as a potential first-team player for Brighton so we feel this is a great move for both parties.”
He follows former Celtic striker Jack Aitchison in the door at Fir Park.
Aitchison on a free transfer from Barnsley on a deal until the end of the season.
