Miller insists Rangers are unified after 'tough month'
The striker netted twice on his return to the side
Recalled striker Kenny Miller says Rangers' dressing room is unified following a tough week at the club which saw manager Pedro Caixinha sacked.
Miller scored twice and set up another as Gers began life after the Portuguese with a 3-1 victory over Hearts at BT Murrayfield.
Caretaker boss Graeme Murty ended Miller's unexplained exile from the first-team squad, which Caixinha had maintained since reports of a heated team meeting after the defeat by Celtic in September.
Miller repayed him with a man-of-the-match performance and said: “It's been a tough month to be honest but I just tried to stay strong throughout and go into work every day and be the best you can be and help the team as much as you can.
“It was always going to be tough today after the week we've had but there was always a belief there.
“The first half wasn't as good as we wanted to be but we still went into half-time level and knew if we picked up a couple of gears we always thought we had chance to win that game and I think we showed that.”
Miller did not share his thoughts on Caixinha following his return to action bur said he tried to remain professional.
“I was staying strong and enjoyed coming into work every single day,” the 37-year-old said. “That never changed. It was just disappointing not to get a game at the end of the day.
“I always had the belief that I would be back in a Rangers jersey so I'm delighted with the result today. It's good to get three points off the back of a couple of disappointing results.
“That dressing room is unified. It has a lot of good people in there and good players as well."
