Callum McGregor insists Celtic are brimming with confidence ahead of their Europa League clash with Rosenborg in Trondheim on Thursday night.

The Hoops are unbeaten in six games since losing 2-0 away to RB Leipzig on October 25, including a dramatic and thrilling 2-1 win over the German outfit in the return Group B game.

Jean-Kevin Augustin's header is the only goal Celtic have lost in that period while scoring 18 on their way to the top of the Ladbrokes Premiership.

Brendan Rodgers' side are looking for the victory at the Lerkendal Stadium which will take their bid to progress to the knockout stages of the Europa League to the final fixture at home to leaders Salzburg.

The Scotland midfielder said: When you get a big win the team take confidence from it.

That was a great night that we had against Leipzig and it builds a lot of confidence that we can go and get big results.

It's the same mindset for us tomorrow night.

You could see the confidence with the goals and the scorelines in the last few weeks.

The boys in the attacking half have been great and defensively we've kept good clean sheets.

When you get four or five goals everyone's confidence comes back and you get the fans in full voice again.

We've only conceded one goal recently. We have to be positive on that as well and that gives us a good starting point for the boys to go forward.'
