McGinn, McTominay, McGregor and Tierney up for Writers' International Player of the Year

Scottish Football Writers' Association William Hill Men's International Player of the Year

Scott McTominay, Callum McGregor, John McGinn and Kieran Tierney have been nominated for the Scottish Football Writers' Association William Hill Men's International Player of the Year award.

The trophy is handed out to the top performer for Scotland's 2022-23 campaign.

Steve Clarke's side won their Nations League group and have started their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign with two victories over Cyprus and Spain.

The quarter have been consistent starters under Clarke since he took over in 2019.

Tierney has been pivotal to Clarke's three-at-the-back system whilst featuring for a table topping Arsenal side.

McGregor recently reached his 50th cap for the national team whilst leading Celtic to the League Cup and the top of the league.

McTominay scored four goals in March's two matches, including a brace against Spain.

McGinn has four goals for Scotland this season, making him the country's 7th leading all-time goal scorer.

The Aston Villa midfielder has won the award for the last three seasons.

The association's 120 members will cast their votes and the winner will be announced in the period leading up to the SFWA's annual awards night on Sunday May 28th.
