Marco Tilio returns to Australia on loan
Celtic winger Marco Tilio has returned to Melbourne City FC on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The 22-year old has struggled to make an impact at Parkhead after arriving at the club with an injury.
Since returning to fitness, Tilio featured just twice for Brendan Rodgers in late substitute appearances against Motherwell and Hibernian.
The Australian is currently with his national team at the Asian Cup and won't return to Glasgow after the tournament is over.
He'll join up with the side he spent three years with as a player - featuring 85 times and scoring 20 goals.
Melbourne City FC director of football Michael Petrillo, told the club's official website: “We’re thrilled to have Marco back at City.
"His impact during his previous stay with us was significant, and we believe his technical skills, pace and work ethic will add another dimension to our attack.
“Marco’s return is a testament to the strong relationships we maintain, and we’re grateful to Celtic FC for facilitating this loan.”
Tilio added: “I’m thrilled to be back at City. The memories and experiences from my time here are unforgettable, and I can’t wait to contribute to the team’s success once again.
“The support from the fans has always been incredible, and I’m eager to create more memorable moments together this season.”
