Both managers have little to cheer after Motherwell and Hamilton's goalless draw
Motherwell manager Steven Robinson has renewed calls for goal-line technology to be introduced to Scottish football following his side's controversial Lanarkshire derby draw with Hamilton.
Ben Heneghan's header midway through the first half appeared to cross the line but Willie Conquer, the assistant in line with play, deemed the whole ball had not gone over.
Replays suggested the ball was at least a yard over the line before being cleared by Accies striker Alex D'Acol, much to the frustration of the home boss.
Robinson believes it is about time SFA chiefs take action and give referees help with these difficult decisions.
He said: "We should have won the game 1-0, it was way over the line. That is two or three weeks in a row now where decisions have cost us three points.
"I am the first to say referees have the most difficult job in football. They have no help and until they get some sort of help these decisions are going to get bigger and bigger.
"You are talking about livelihoods here, clubs' livelihoods. Decisions have to be correct."
The home side could have nicked all three points but failed to capitalise when Accies' Darian MacKinnon was sent off with 15 minutes to go in a bizarre incident.
The midfielder was incensed by a member of the Motherwell support and gave a one-fingered gesture in reply, which saw him receive a straight red card from referee Kevin Clancey.
Manager Martin Canning had no complaints with the dismissal, and said the club will discipline the player.
"It is a real lack of experience from an experienced player. The last six to nine months he has matured a lot but he has let himself down tonight.
"He has made a silly mistake, Darian knows he has and we will speak to him and we will deal with it. He knows he has let the club down tonight."
