Lyndon Dykes has been ruled out of Scotland's Euro 2024 squad through injury.

The striker was stretchered off in training on Friday at Lesser Hampden and was quickly sent for a scan.

The Scottish FA have now revealed the leg issue is enough to keep him out of this summer's tournament in Germany.

A statement read: "Following an injury in training yesterday, Lyndon Dykes has been ruled out of the squad for UEFA EURO 2024.

"We’re gutted for you, Lyndon, but know you’ll be back in a Scotland shirt soon.

"Wishing you a speedy recovery".

Steve Clarke will now be left with a decision to make on whether to call up another forward.

The national team boss now has a squad of 27 - leaving one player to be cut next week.

However, options in the final third are now limited with Lawrence Shankland and Che Adams the only experienced options.

Liverpool youngster Ben Doak is also capable of playing through the middle but is yet to be capped.
