Lewis Morgan set to join Celtic and return on loan to St Mirren, says Jack Ross
Lewis Morgan's move from St Mirren to Celtic is expected to be finalised on Friday, according to Buddies boss Jack Ross.
The 21-year-old winger attended Ross Hall hospital in Glasgow on Thursday for a medical and is expected to sign for the Parkhead club before returning to the Championship leaders on loan for the rest of the season.
Ross says: "It has been well documented that he is finishing his medical about now.
"All being well with that, I think it will be confirmed (on Friday) at some stage.
"I am pleased for him in that respect but, until it is done officially, I don't think he nor I would want to say too much.
"But I think it is the worst kept secret in Scottish football at the moment.
"I am quite fortunate that I have a good relationship with Brendan (Rodgers) so from that side it has been good and obviously Tony Fitzpatrick in his role as chief executive here in his discussions with Peter (Lawwell, Celtic chief executive) has been good.
"It has allowed us to get to a situation which is ideal with us by having him back for the rest of the season. That was really important for us so I am delighted and grateful that that is the case."
Celtic will reportedly pay around a £300,000 fee for the Scotland Under-21 international, who has scored 13 goals of the Paisley side this season, including three in his last two games
