Lennon believes Hibs confidence boosted by Celtic draw
Hibernian experienced a further confidence boost after a second draw of the season against unbeaten Celtic, according to boss Neil Lennon.
It looked like the Ladbrokes Premiership leaders would win at Easter Road on Sunday when winger Scott Sinclair grabbed two goals in four minutes after the break.
However, former Celtic defender Efe Ambrose reduced the deficit before substitute Oli Shaw levelled three minutes later with both sides having chances to win the
game ahead of the final whistle which confirmed the Hoops' 68th domestic game without a loss.
Hibs, who also drew 2-2 at Parkhead in September, are in fourth place in the table - three points behind Rangers and Aberdeen - and after hosting the Gers on Wednesday night, they travel to Pittodrie on Saturday.
"Psychologically they will get a lift from that, particularly by the way they finished the game,'' said former Celtic manager Lennon.
"So we will maybe look at the game a little bit more but we are not going to come up against a team of that quality every week.
"Celtic are miles ahead of anyone else in the way they play the game, their movement and quality, pace of passing as well.''
Lennon hinted that there could be a first start on Wednesday for 19-year-old Shaw, who also came off the bench to score in the 4-2 Betfred Cup semi-final defeat by Celtic at Hampden Park in October.
The Northern Irishman said: He is a good finisher and I really toyed with starting him but I thought with the magnitude of the game it might be unfair on him.
"But he is ready to play and he has done himself no harm at all.''
Shaw said: "The gaffer was saying I was close to starting but it was nice to come on and play a part, and get the equaliser.
"I just need to be patient and take my chance when it comes.
"Obviously it's a massive game in midweek again, in front of a big crowd, and we want to get the victory. The fans will be right behind us for that one.
"It is three massive games and we have started off with a draw against Celtic, which isn't too bad.''
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers thought his side should have taken all three points back to Glasgow.
He said: "On reflection, I was really happy with a lot of the game - how we played, our composure - as it's a tough place to go.
"They are a tough team, but I thought we were much the better team but without getting the result.'
