Neil Lennon hoping for 'substantial advantage' after Champions League first leg
Celtic take on Estonian side Nomme Kalju at Celtic Park later
Celtic boss Neil Lennon is looking for his players to take a "substantial advantage" away from the first leg of their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round match.
They play Nomme Kalju at 7.45pm tonight at Celtic Park.
Speaking ahead of the tie, Lennon said he was hoping that his side could make the most of home advantage ahead of their trip to Estonia next Tuesday.
He said "with it being at home, the first leg, it's not always ideal but hopefully we can take a decent and substantial advantage to Estonia next week"
The ex-Hibernian manager has oversaw a successful start to the first Champions League campaign of his second spell in charge of Celtic, knocking out Bosnia and Herzegovina outfit FK Sarajevo 5-2 on aggregate in the first qualifying round.
Now that the season is underway and his team have played competitive matches, Lennon believe the squad will be in better condition. He said:
"Preparations have been good, we've had a good week, players are getting up to speed, players are getting fitter, there's no fresh injury worries and players are coming back so in that aspect it's been good in terms of the bulk of the squad and the depth that we have."
