Lawrence Shankland has agreed a deal to stay at Hearts, according to a report.

The Scotland international's contract expired this summer with the club and player yet to shake hands on a contract to see him stay at Tynecastle.

Derek McInnes had not given up hope of keeping Shankland at the club.

Fabrizio Romano is now reporting the striker has rejected a big money move from abroad to stay at Hearts.

Shankland joined the Jambos from Belgian club Beerschot in 2022 and has scored 67 goals in 136 matches.

He also won the PFA Scotland Player of the Year and the SFWA Footballer of the Year in the 2023-24 season.

The 29-year old only scored eight goals last campaign, but new boss Derek McInnes will be hoping he can now rediscover his best form.
