Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has warned fans not to expect a swift return for Kyogo Furuhashi.

The Japan forward has missed games either side of the winter break because of a hamstring problem and Postecoglou had expected further clarity this week after stating on Monday he would be out for at least two to three weeks.

However, the Hoops boss now says he's unsure exactly how long the 27-year old will be out for with Postecoglou reluctant to put a timescale on it.

Kyogo will almost certainly now miss their clash with Rangers on February 2 and faces a race against time for their Europa Conference League double header with Bodo/Glimt.

The Celtic boss said: "We are still sort of working through that but suffice to say it's not going to be a quick return.

"I'm reluctant to put any time frame on it, just for the player himself, I think it's unfair that I do that, but we are still looking at a number of weeks at the moment.

"Hopefully we will get some clarity, there are still some things they want to see if it settles down, but we are looking at a number of weeks at this point."
