Kyle Magennis signs for Kilmarnock after Hibs exit
The midfielder has moved to Rugby Park after his Hibs contract was terminated
Kilmarnock have completed the signing of Kyle Magennis following his exit from Hibs.
The Easter Road side came to an agreement with the 24-year old to terminate his contract.
Derek McInnes has acted quickly and snapped up the former Scotland youth international on a two-year deal.
Magennis started his career at St Mirren before sealing a move to Leith in 2020.
He will now look to kickstart his career again at Rugby Park after an injury-hit few years.
He told the club's official website: “The gaffer has always been interested in me and he’s someone I wanted to work with, so over the past few weeks the move has fallen into place.
“It’s a fresh start for me. I’ve had a tough few seasons with injuries, but I’m feeling good and ready to go. I know that if I’m playing, I’ll be a big asset to the club.”
On his exit from Hibs, manager Lee Johnson said: “Kyle was a well-respected member of the squad, and we wish him well for the future. He will always be welcome at Easter Road.”
