Kilmarnock secure loan signing of Kevin van Veen
Last updated 1st Feb 2024
Kilmarnock have beaten off competition to seal the loan signing of Kevin van Veen.
The Dutchman joins on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Motherwell had made their move to lure the striker back to Fir Park, but were unable to compete financially.
St Mirren were also in the hunt but van Veen has chosen to move to Rugby Park.
Van Veen was a revelation last season for the Steelmen, scoring 29 goals in all competitions, while being voted into the PFA Scotland Team of the Year and being nominated for the PFA Scotland Players' Player of the Year award.
He moved to Eerste Divisie side FC Groningen in the summer and despite scoring 5 goals in 15 games, has been allowed to move back to Scotland.
He joins Greg Stewart and James Balagizi who have been drafted in by Derek McInnes this month.
Gary Mackay-Steven also extended his contract until the end of the season.
