Kilmarnock Football Club have completed the signing of Northern Ireland international Kyle Vassell on a deal until the end of the season.

The experienced striker joins following a spell at San Diego Loyal in the USA, where he scored 14 times in 29 appearances.

Kyle said: “I had a great time over there in San Diego. But here there’s more passion with football and there’s more pressure and I thrive under that.

“I’ve played in lots of roles in the last few years.

“I’m a bit of a jack of all trades but I’m just trying to master one at the moment - scoring goals.”

Prior to moving stateside, the 29-year-old established himself south of the border, representing the likes of Blackpool, Rotherham and Peterborough.

Kyle has also been capped twice at international level, having received his first call-up to the Northern Ireland squad in 2018.

The signing is subject to international clearance and SFA approval.
