Kilmarnock announce Stuart Kettlewell as new manager
Kilmarnock have announced Stuart Kettlewell as their new manager.
The 40-year-old is replacing Derek McInnes in the Rugby Park dugout, after he departed for Hearts at the end of the season.
Kettlewell resigned from Premiership side Motherwell in January, citing the personal abuse he and his family had received from some fans.
The club were 5th in the premiership table when he departed.
He has also previously managed Ross County in the top flight.
A statement from the Kilmarnock board said: “The club conducted a thorough recruitment process, where we were looking for a candidate who has a track record in recruiting and developing players, including young talent and has a strong understanding of Scottish football.
"We identified Stuart as the best candidate to lead Kilmarnock into an exciting new chapter.
"Stuart’s experiences, paired with the above, fits our vision and desires for the future of Kilmarnock.”
Kettlewell will speak to the media for the first time on Monday afternoon.
