Kevin Nisbet has decided not to join Millwall despite Hibernian accepting a deal worth £2.3million for the striker.

The 25-year old has ‘had a change of heart’ after travelling down south for talks.

Nisbet was expected to make the move to the English Championship side with Easter Road boss Lee Johnson describing his departure today as a 'huge loss'.

It now looks as if the Scotland international will be available to face Aberdeen on Saturday with the move collapsing.

Defender Ryan Porteous is still expected to join Watford.

Hibs have accepted an offer worth up to £500,000 for the player and Hornets boss Slaven Bilic has already spoken about his imminent arrival.

He told Sky Sports: “I met him this morning at the training ground, here’s here and he should be signing today or the next couple of days.

“The plan is for him to train with us today and take it from there.

“He’s in good shape and match fit because he’s been playing games. Since I knew there was a chance of getting him I have been watching his games and videos, and I know all about him.

“He’s a ball-playing centre back who is not afraid to step in. He has that element of confidence about him, and although he’s young he is a young player with good experience.”
