Kenny Miller vows to play on next season even if it's not at Rangers
The 38-year-old - who marked his return to the Gers line-up against Dundee on Saturday with his first goal in five months - is out of contract this summer.
The former Scotland striker says he still feels like he has another season in his ageing limbs yet.
However, with Ibrox chiefs still to announce whether Graeme Murty will be staying on or replaced as boss, Miller confessed his future could lie elsewhere.
He said: ''Nothing has been discussed regarding my future.
Who knows what will happen at the club in the summer, so I'll just look after myself because I want to continue playing. I'll stay focused on that and we'll see what happens.''
Miller made his first start of 2018 against the Dark Blues and sent Gers on their way to a 4-0 win.
He last found the net while bagging a double against Hearts in October but appeared to have slipped down Murty's pecking order after a hamstring tear - sustained against Hibernian just before Christmas -
ruled him out for two months.
But he was back in the starting XI as he replaced the injured Josh Windass and now believes he can play a part in downing Celtic in next Sunday's William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final.
''It was good to get back into the starting line-up because I haven't done that since December,'' he said. ''It's been a frustrating time out for me. But sometimes you just have to bide your time.
Hopefully my experience is important to the team - and I hope it's required next week as well.
I was being written off after the injury but I was comfortable with it, I always felt I'd come back.
I'd relish the chance to go in against Celtic next week.
It's a massive game, a Scottish Cup semi-final and we want to win the trophy. We have to get past Celtic next week and it'll be a tough test. Hopefully I can keep the jersey.''
Dundee boss Neil McCann could not fault his side's effort levels at Ibrox just four days after they gave their all to grab a valuable 0-0 draw at Celtic Park.
But he was angry at SPFL chiefs for sending his team to Glasgow twice is such quick succession.
He said: ''I think it's really unfair on the players to have to perform twice in Glasgow like that.
We've had just six days for three games of that magnitude (following Hearts last Sunday). It's shocking that the Celtic game was arranged in between.
It could have been put forward easily. Celtic didn't want it in between their game with Rangers, didn't want it in between Motherwell. It could have been pencilled in for that (midweek after their Scottish Cup) game and then played when Morton didn't get a replay.
So I'm a bit aggrieved about that as it asks a lot of our players.''
