Celtic are closing in on announcing the permanent signing of Jota, according to reports in Portugal.
The winger could put pen to paper on a deal by the end of this week as Ange Postecoglou looks to sign him on a long term deal.
Jota quickly became a fans favourite during his loan spell from Benfica last season and scored 13 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions.
The Parkhead side have already secured the services of Cameron Carter-Vickers on a four-year deal and it looks as though Jota could follow soon.
Portuguese newspaper Record expects the move to be finalised 'by the end of the week' with the clubs already agreed on a price for the 23-year old.
It is understood he will cost Celtic a fee of around £6.5million.
The report states there are still details relating to personal terms that need to be ironed out before an announcement is made.
Former Dundee United goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist is also a target for the Hoops.
The 30-year old left Tannadice in the summer following a successful four-year spell with the club and is available on a free transfer.
Ange Postecoglou is looking to add competition between the sticks with Vasilis Barkas allowed to join FC Utrecht on loan.
