Rangers winger Jake Hastie joins Partick Thistle on loan
The 22-year old will play for the Jags until January
Rangers winger Jake Hastie has secured a loan move to Partick Thistle until January.
The 22-year old has failed to make a breakthrough at Ibrox since joining from Motherwell in 2019.
The wide man came through the ranks at Fir Park and caught the eye of Steven Gerrard's side in his breakthrough season in the Scottish top flight.
He scored seven times in 15 matches in the second half of the 2018-19 season for Motherwell.
Rangers then paid a compensation fee of around £350,000 to sign him on a four-year deal.
Hastie's move to the Jags will be his third loan move since arriving at Ibrox.
He spent time at English side Rotherham as well as returning to Motherwell for a spell last season.
Thistle manager Ian McCall told their official website: “Firstly, Rangers have been fantastic with us in allowing us to take Jake on loan.
"My job now is to give him the confidence to go out and show everyone the player he can be, the one who lit up the Scottish Premiership and scored goals at that level.
“Jake gives us another option of serious pace in the team from middle to front, along with Scott Tiffoney. I simply want Jake to go out and enjoy playing football with Partick Thistle – with one caveat, that he’ll need to work hard to get into this team.”
