Hibernian boss Jack Ross admits he is sad to see Daryl Horgan depart after allowing the winger to join English Championship side Wycombe.

The 28-year-old has been a consistent performer at Easter Road since arriving from Preston two years ago and made himself a fans' favourite in Leith with a derby double against Hearts back in April 2019.

But Ross has reluctantly allowed the the Republic of Ireland cap to make his move to Adams Park for an undisclosed fee after securing Jamie Murphy on a season-long loan from Rangers.

He said: "Daryl was a genuine pleasure to work with - a manager's dream in the way he applied himself every day.

"I'm disappointed to lose him but it's a good opportunity for Daryl and his family. I wish them all the luck in the world.''
