Jack loses red card appeal
Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack has been handed a three-match ban after his appeal against Sunday's red card at Pittodrie was thrown out.
The former Aberdeen skipper lasted just 65 minutes as he made his first appearance at his former stomping ground in a Gers kit. He was dismissed by referee Willie Collum after planting his studs into Dons striker Stevie May's shin as he followed through after winning the ball in a tackle.
It was the fourth time he has seen red in just 19 appearances for the Light Blues - although two of those sendings-off were later overturned on appeal.
However, Jack's latest challenge has failed, with the Scottish Football Association's fast-track disciplinary tribunal deciding to dismiss his protest.
The 25-year-old will now miss Saturday's Ibrox clash Ross County as well as next week's showdowns with Hibernian and St Johnstone
