Lawrence Shankland has sealed his return to Scottish football after signing a three-year deal with Hearts.
The Scotland international joins for a six-figure fee from Belgian side Beerschot where he spent last season.
Shankland moved there from Dundee United and scored five goals in 25 league games as his club were relegated from the top flight.
The 26-year old showed his goalscoring prowess in the lower leagues of Scottish football, bagging an incredible 91 goals in 107 matches for Dundee United and Ayr United across the Championship and League One.
His final season in Scotland under Micky Mellon in the Premiership saw him score nine goals in 36 games before moving to the continent.
Robbie Neilson is a keen admirer of Shankland having worked with him previously at Tannadice.
Neilson told the club's official website: “I’m really happy that we’ve been able to bring Lawrence to the club.
“He’s a player I know well from our time together at Dundee United. I know exactly what his qualities are and what he’ll bring to the team, and that’s why we really pushed hard to make him a Hearts player.
“I know he’ll get a great welcome and I’m looking forward to working with him again.”
