Former Rangers winger Barrie McKay is back in Scottish football after signing a two-year deal with Hearts.
The 26-year old was a free agent after leaving Swansea City at the end of last season.
McKay left Ibrox in 2017 to move to Nottingham Forest before heading to Wales a year later.
The Scotland cap spent one season as a regular at the Liberty stadium before spending 18 months on loan at League One side Fleetwood Town.
Manager Robbie Neilson told the official club website: âIâm delighted that weâve managed to get Barrie in and signed.
âIâm sure a lot of people will remember his qualities from his previous spell in Scottish football; quick, direct, dynamic and capable of moments of magic.
âTo bring those talents to Hearts, where we now have considerable depth in our attacking options, is a real boost and Iâm really looking forward to working with Barrie.â
Sporting director Joe Savage said: âWe beat off interest from near, in fact very near, and afar to get Barrieâs signature and weâre very happy to have done so.
âBarrie is an exciting player and one I am sure will light up Tynecastle when he takes to the pitch.
âThis window has been testament to the strength of our recruitment department and once again I must thank everyone who was involved.
âWe have, in our opinion, built up a squad capable of challenging at the top end of the table and I hope that we continue our good start in the weeks to come.â
