Hearts face Inverness in Betfred Cup opener
The dates for the Betfred Cup group stage have been released
Hearts will kick off their season at home to Inverness in the Betfred Cup on October 6.
The Tuesday-night game will be broadcast live by Premier Sports as the group stages begin.
Kelty Hearts will make their debut in the competition on the same night when they take on St Johnstone at home.
Hibernian will open their campaign at home to Highland League champions Brora Rangers the following evening, with Dundee United travelling to Brechin and St Mirren hosting Partick Thistle at the same time.
Other notable fixtures include Dunfermline v Falkirk (October 9), Cove Rangers v Hibernian (October 10), Hearts v Raith and Dundee United v Kelty (October 13), St Johnstone v Dundee United (November 10), St Mirren v Morton (November 11) and the Lanarkshire derby between Hamilton and Albion Rovers on November 14.
The group stage concludes when Hibernian host Dundee on November 15 with the second-round draw taking place immediately afterwards.
