A caller on Thursday night's Superscoreboard nominated the team to take the Ice Bucket Challenge. The challenge dares nominated participants to be filmed having a bucket of ice water poured on their heads and challenging others to do the same. Nominated people usually have 24 hours to comply or forfeit by way of a charitable financial donation.

Gordon Dalziel accepted the challenge on behalf of the team and Hugh Keevins was only too happy to oblige with the water...

The challenge kicked off in the US by the family of Pete Frates, a baseball player who was diagnosed with ALS, or motor neurone disease as it’s known in the UK. Buoyed by support from the ALS Association in the US and some well-known celebrities, the campaign has raised millions so far. In the UK, those taking part have been donating money to the Motor Neuron Disease Association and Macmillan Cancer Support.
