Gerrard urging Rangers to move on from Motherwell draw ahead of a big week
Steven Gerrard has told Rangers to forget about their Fir Park slip and concentrate on next week's clashes against Ufa and Celtic.
Rangers were seconds away from beating Motherwell - only for Peter Hartley to bundle home in the 94th-minute to seal a 3-3 draw for the Steelmen.
But Gerrard does not want his team moping too long.
Rangers face a 4,600-mile round-trip on Thursday as they look to see off Ufa and claim a place in the Europa League group stages.
Gers - who are taking a slender 1-0 first-leg lead to Russia - then face another major test when they travel to Celtic Park for Gerrad's first taste of the Old Firm derby on Sunday.
The Light Blues boss said: "We can't feel sorry for ourselves. We have got ourselves to blame and shot ourselves in the foot in terms of defending set-plays.
"You can't give teams gifts like that, otherwise it becomes very difficult.
"So we have to bounce back. We've got two really big games coming up and it's my job to make sure that we don't have a hangover from dropping two points.''
The result saw Motherwell pick up their first point of the season but boss Stephen Robinson felt his side were due more.
"I definitely think we deserved more than a point,'' said the Northern Irishman. "To score three goals at home and not get all three goals is disappointing.
"I don't dwell on too many negatives but their second goal was a ball into the box we should have dealt with.
"The third was a break from our corner. They are the negatives but other than that I thought we were excellent.
"We showed a lot of good quality. People talk about our battling qualities and how physical we are, but we played well.
"You don't have 85 per cent possession for the last 30 minutes if you are not outplaying a team. The equaliser was thoroughly deserved but I'm still disappointed we didn't get all three.'
