Steve Clarke has named his Scotland squad for the upcoming Nations League matches against Poland and Portugal.

Vancouver Whitecaps captain Ryan Gauld has been included for the first time in 10 years.

The 28-year-old was previously called up in 2014 but did not feature under then-manager Gordon Strachan.

Ben Doak and Max Johnston have been selected and could win their first caps, whilst Kilmarnock's Robby McCrorie has earned a recall.

Celtic captain Callum McGregor has retired since Euro 2024, whilst Stuart Armstrong, Liam Cooper and Ryan Jack, all of whom are without clubs, also miss out.

There is no space in the squad for Rangers midfielder Connor Barron despite an impressive start to the season.

Scotland host Poland in their opening game on September 5 before travelling to Portugal three days later.
