Hamilton striker Fredrik Brustad has been recalled by parent club Molde.

The 29-year-old Norwegian joined Martin Canning's Accies on season-long loan on the final day of the summer transfer window.

He went on to make 15 appearances for the Lanarkshire outfit, scoring his only goal in a 3-0 win over St Mirren back in September.

But Molde caretaker boss Erling Moe, who is standing in for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer while he works at Old Trafford as the interim Manchester United manager, has decided he is required back home.

Accies said in a statement: "We would like to thank Freddie for his contribution and wish him all the best for the future.'
