Ferguson: No old pals act at Clyde

Barry Ferguson says he will not be operating an old pals act when it comes to recruiting new players at Clyde. The new Bully Wee player/manager is targeting automatic promotion in his first season at Broadwood but maintains that he will only turn to former team-mates if he feels they can bring something to the team. The former Scotland international, who recently left Blackpool after escaping relegation from the English Championship, will take part in a full pre-season regime with his new squad and does intend to pick himself in the starting eleven at the start of the season.
