Arne Engels is staying at Celtic after the club rejected a £25million from Nottingham Forest.

The Parkhead side knocked back three bids from the English Premier League club leading up to the transfer deadline.

If they had accepted the offer it would have equalled the club record sale.

Engels arrived at Celtic for a club-record fee of approximately £11 million from FC Augsburg around 18 months ago.

The Belgian international has gone on to score 15 goals and provide 20 assists in his 89 appearances.

He helped the club to the Premiership title and a and League Cup win last season.
