David Turnbull ready for Celtic return
The midfielder has missed three months of action with a hamstring injury
David Turnbull is ready to return to action for Celtic against Ross County this weekend.
The midfielder hasn't featured since being forced off in their League Cup final victory against Hibernian in December.
Turnbull has made 35 appearances for Celtic so far this season and established himself as a regular under Ange Postecoglou.
A hamstring injury has forced him to miss the last three months of action but his manager says he is back available for selection.
Postecoglou said: "He was fantastic for us in the first half of the year and it was disappointing for him that he got a fairly significant injury that has kept him out for a while.
"He has worked hard in rehab and I know he has been itching to get back out there.
"He has been training really well in the last seven to ten days.
"I probably was a bit conservative with him because I could have maybe thrown him in last week but watching him train he's ready to go.
"I think he'll be important for us.
"He's a quality player, he's a goal threat and he's good on set pieces. I think he adds something to our team".
Postecoglou gave a further injury update ahead of Ross County visiting Parkhead.
He said: "Jota and Liel Abada are all good.
"They've trained all week. They obviously missed Monday night but it wasn't too serious.
"The only one not available is James Forrest who pulled up a bit sore from the other night. Nothing too serious but he'll miss tomorrow".
