Celtic win Scottish Youth Cup with victory over Rangers
Celtic secured the Scottish Youth Cup for a sixth time in eight years with a 3-0 victory over Glasgow rivals Rangers in the Hampden final.
Goals from Sam Wardrop, Calvin Miller and Aidan McIlduff in a 14-minute period either side of half-time earned the Young Hoops their 15th Youth Cup success.
Celtic went into the break with a commanding lead after two goals in the closing stages of the first half.
Captain Wardrop's composed finish gave the Young Hoops a 39th-minute advantage before Miller took advantage of a defensive mistake to tap the ball into an empty net two minutes from half-time.
There was no way back for Rangers after McIlduff beat goalkeeper Robby McCrorie with a powerful effort after 53 minutes.
