Celtic will take on Danish side FC Midtjylland in the second round of Champions League qualifying.

The first leg will take place in Glasgow on July 20/21 with the return leg away on July 27/28 July.

They lost 7-3 on aggregate to Rangers in Europa League qualifying two seasons ago.

Former Hoops defender Erik Sviatchenko - who has been linked with a move back to Parkhead - currently plays for the Danish side.

The winners will advance to the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round with the draw for that taking place on July 19 July.

Should Celtic make it to the third qualifying round, they will be guaranteed group stage European football.

This would be in either the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League or UEFA Europa Conference League based on their progress.
