Celtic sign former Dundee United goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist

Celtic have completed the signing of former Dundee United goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist.

The 30-year old left Tannadice this summer and has been snapped up on a four-year deal by Ange Postecoglou.

Siegrist spent the last four years with Dundee United after making the move from Vaduz and made 145 apperances.

The Hoops have been on the hunt for a new stopper after Vasilis Barkas was allowed to join FC Utrecht on loan.

Joe Hart and Scott Bain remain at Parkhead with Siegrist coming in to provide competition.

Siegrist told Celtic TV: “It feels amazing, it’s a very proud feeling to be here, and I’m really, really excited. I can’t wait to get going and meet the staff, the players, and, ultimately play for this football club.

“I had a phone call from the manager, he hung up the phone and I think people just knew straight away that something good was happening. It was a very proud moment in my career,
