Celtic lose appeal against Hyun-Jun Yang's red card
The winger was sent off for a high boot in Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Hearts
Celtic have been unsuccessful in their appeal against the red card shown to Hyun-Jun Yang against Hearts.
Yang was sent off for a high challenge in the 16th minute at Tynecastle.
The South Korean was initially yellow-carded before match referee Don Robertson upgraded it to a red after being advised by VAR John Beaton to review the incident on the pitch-side monitor.
Celtic lost the game 2-0.
Manager Brendan Rodgers claimed the defeat was "decided by the officials".
In a statement alongside the appeal, the club added: "We have also written to the SFA to raise our serious concerns regarding the use of VAR and the decisions made within the match."
Celtic's next match is against Livingston on Sunday in the Scottish Cup quarter-final.
