Celtic concede six times as they lose opening game in Japan
Celtic were beaten 6-4 by Yokohama F Marinos
Celtic were beaten 6-4 by Yokohama F Marinos in the opening game of their pre-season tour of Japan.
The Hoops went behind early on but attacker Daizen Maeda, playing back in his home country, grabbed a first-half hat-trick to pull the visitors in front.
However, a defensive collapse after the interval allowed the hosts to score four times and run out comfortable winners, despite David Turnbull's late consolation strike from 30 yards.
Manager Brendan Rodgers made several changes throughout the game but is likely to be concerned with the nature of some of the goals his side conceded.
The Scottish champions face Gamba Osaka in their next friendly match on Saturday.
