Celtic complete loan deal for Oliver Abildgaard
The defensive midfielder seals a move to Parkhead on deadline day
Celtic have completed the loan signing of Rubin Kazan midfielder Oliver Abildgaard.
The Danish cap will link up with former teammates Carl Starfelt and Sead Haksabanovic at Parkhead.
The 26-year old started his career at Aalborg before making the switch to Russia in 2020.
Abildgaard has been a regular started for Rubin Kazan and won his only international cap in a friendly against Sweden in November 2020.
The 26-year old will provide further competition in Ange Postecoglou's midfield which already boasts Callum McGregor, Aaron Mooy, Reo Hatate, Matt O'Riley and David Turnbull.
The Hoops have also loaned Liam Shaw to Morecombe, with Mikey Johnstone on his way to Vitoria de Guimaraes.
