Celtic closing in on deal for Patrick Roberts
Patrick Roberts' long-running transfer saga looks to be over after the forward was pictured leaving Celtic Park.
Roberts looks set to rejoin Celtic on a season-long loan from Manchester City.
The England youth international had been expected in Glasgow to complete a medical ahead of a reunion with Brendan Rodgers and the rest of the squad, and was pictured with fans outside the ground.
After spending 18 months on loan with the Hoops and winning the treble last season, Roberts returned to parent club Manchester City for pre-season but has been allowed a move away after not featuring in Pep Guardiola's plans.
Celtic have fought off competition from other clubs to bring Roberts back to Scotland, and Rodgers hinted over the weekend that a deal was close to being struck.
Following his side's 1-1 draw with St Johnstone, the Celtic boss said: I expect between now and the end of the market (window) to have a number of additions to the squad.'
