Ange Postecoglou admits he is is fed up with "condescending" with questions about his understanding of the demands at Celtic.

The Parkhead boss said he is growing tired of suggestion he hasn't grasped the scale of expectation that comes with managing the club.

Celtic have lost three of their opening seven Premiership fixtures and are six points behind reigning champions Rangers, leaving Postecoglou's been baffled by premature title declarations.

He remained positive following a 1-1 draw with Dundee United on Sunday and leads his side into a huge Europa League test against Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday.

Postecoglou stressed he has no issue with criticism and scrutiny but feels there's a patronising element to the questions he faces in interviews and press conferences.

The Celtic manager said: "The only thing I don't like is the condescending nature of the questions; that somehow I don't understand that if we don't win games of football; that I don't understand the magnitude of the football club; that I'm in charge of this rebuild and I don't understand what the ramifications are if I don't get it right.

"And maybe that's the intent, maybe people just want to be condescending. That's up to them.

"In terms of pressure, criticism or scrutiny, that's fair enough. That's what people who are passionate about the game will do when they analyse a team.

"I've got no issue with that.

"In terms of calling it early... I see no reason why you'd be calling somebody a champion in September when you've got 30-odd games to go."
