Aberdeen have confirmed the loan signing of forward Callum Hendry from St Johnstone.

The 23-year-old, who began his career at Blackburn Rovers, joined the Saints in 2017 and has made 94 appearances, scoring 14 goals.

Manager Derek McInnes was happy to further bolster his attacking options with the arrival of Callum.

“I’m delighted we’ve managed to secure Callum on loan. He’s a player we feel can, not only give us a physical presence at the top of the pitch, but he is a player with great potential.

“He arrives, along with Fraser, to gives us good options in the forward areas. We’re looking forward to working with him.”

Callum will go straight into the squad for the visit of Livingston tomorrow night.
