Borussia Dortmund are travelling to Glasgow without Erling Haaland, according to reports in Germany.

The Norwegian striker missed the first leg of their Europa League knockout tie where Rangers ran out shock 4-2 winners.

Haaland was expected to be close to making a comeback for the second leg, but local journalist Sebastian Weßling says he won't make it.

Weßling said: "Bad news for Dortmund: The #BVB travels to Glasgow without Erling Haaland."

The news will surely prove to be a boost to Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side who head into Thursday's second leg protecting a two-goal lead.

Haaland has scored 80 goals in 79 games for Dortmund since joining from Red Bull Salzburg.

He missed their clash with Borussia Monchengladbach at the weekend but the team were convincing winners.

Marco Reus scored twice and got three assists as they recorded a huge 6-0 victory.
