Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos says he is setting his sights on becoming the Europa League's all-time top goalscorer.

The Colombian international scored away to Borussia Dortmund last week to take his competition tally to 31 goals in 59 matches.

His strike record, which includes qualifiers, puts him just nine goals behind leading goalscorer and Celtic hero Henrik Larsson who is on 40.

Morelos, speaking to ESPN Colombia, says he is keen to surpass that landmark and put his name in the history books.

He said: "My objective is clear - to become the top scorer in the competition.

"That's my aim but the only way to achieve that is with a lot of work and keep scoring goals.

"What I experienced with Steven Gerrard was something very nice, he trusted me a lot.

"He gave me the opportunity to always be in the starting line-up and I responded in the best way possible. We had a nice relationship that I hope will continue.

"I learned many things from him and I continue to use what he taught me."
