Alan Archibald wants desire from players in relegation fight
Partick Thistle slumped to the foot of the table with a 4-0 defeat to Ross County
Partick Thistle manager Alan Archibald has challenged his players to show desire to get off the bottom of the Premiership table following their heavy defeat to Ross County.
Thistle dropped below the Staggies after a 4-0 defeat against their relegation rivals in Dingwall, with Dutch forward Alex Schalk bagging a hat-trick.
The Jags final game before the league splits for the final part of the campaign is at home to Kilmarnock on Saturday.
And Archibald has warned his players they must show more fight at their own ground.
"They have got to have belief, they have got to want it for each other,'' he told the club's Jagzone service.
"We said that, there has got to be a desire and a hunger.
"It was about who wanted it more, and I thought County did. That's the way it looked.
"They were up to most second balls before us, which was a big, big disappointment.'
