Abdul Osman delighted to be back after 'stressful' injury
The Partick Thistle captain has missed 20 games this season
Partick Thistle captain Abdul Osman is delighted to be back in action after a lengthy and "very stressful'' spell on the sidelines.
The 30-year-old midfielder returned in a 2-1 William Hill Scottish Cup win against Queen of the South on January 20 following his recovery from an operation on a shoulder injury picked up last August.
And while he is still "getting up to speed'' the Ghanaian is happy to be training and playing again.
Ahead of the visit of Rangers in the Ladbrokes Premiership on Tuesday night, he said: "It was unbelievable. I was out for a long time and it was very stressful.
"Lots of hard work behind the scenes and obviously I missed playing. As a footballer, when you don't play it is probably your worst time ever.
I haven't really had big injuries throughout my career and it was the first time I have been out for a long period and it was very difficult. So I'm glad that I'm back.''
During his time out Osman launched his own fashion range in which the slogan, 'it's not easy' is used on shirts and caps.
"When you are out a long time you always try to find other things to do,'' said the former Northampton and Crewe player.
"Tomas Cerny (keeper) reads books and I thought, 'I like my fashion, so why not try something new?'
"'It's not easy' is a simple slogan. It comes off the tongue nicely and the boys relate to it. It is something that stuck by me growing up.
"It has always been tough. Obviously I didn't come through the academies and what not, I came through the hard way. So I thought, 'let's see what I can do with it'.''
Boss Alan Archibald admitted that Rangers' 2-1 defeat by Hibernian at Ibrox on Saturday will "probably not'' help the Jags' cause.
He said: "Generally when the Old Firm get beat they are usually out to prove a point.
"Graeme (Murty) might make changes off the back of that but we have to just worry about ourselves.
"We have ran them close and we need that one step more.
"Regardless of Rangers' result at the weekend, we will concentrate on ourselves and be concentrated for the 90 minutes.'
