This week we're adding the amazing Sam Smith to our playlist. His latest offering 'One Last Song' dropped earlier this month and we'll be playing it throughout the week on Clyde 1.

Last weekend Sam revealed on Twitter that he was very angry when he wrote 'One Last Song', which was recorded in Nashville. He said he went into the studio wanting to write an angry song.

The 25-year-old singer has yet to release the music video for his latest song.

'One Last Song' is Sam's second single from his latest studio album, 'The Thrill of It All' which he released on the 3rd November. On release the album went straight to number one to become his second number one album in the UK. 'The Thrill Of It All' is the follow up to Sam's album from 2014 'In the Lonely Hour'.

Sam Smith recently appeared on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke and was joined by American girl group Fifth Harmony, for an amazing rendition of 'Work from Home'.

In this episode of Carpool Karaoke Sam and James talked about everything from his weight loss and kaftans, to how he missed a day of school to see Lady Gaga in concert.

The pair also sang some of Sam's most iconic songs including 'I'm Not the Only One' and 'Money on my Mind'.

At one point the topic of conversation took a strange turn as Sam started to talk about his plan to have a 'funeral' for his single life before he gets married to a future husband.
