Angry customers complain of missing Christmas parcels at Yodel Bellshill depot
Angry Yodel customers have voiced concerns that they'll be without their Christmas presents after being told parcels are missing from the companies Bellshill depot.
Several frustrated customers took to social media to complain of waiting in long queues for hours and seeing people turned away empty-handed.
Managers at the depot were also accused of hiding from customers.
Garry McCallum tried to pick up gifts for his wife and mother earlier today, he's telling Clyde News that a lot of people are upset by the situation. He said:
"When I got there to try and get a parcel I've been waiting over a week for, there's been no attempt to deliver it, I seen the large queue and I thought right away there's no chance I'm going to get into this place.
"I spoke to other people in the queue, there had been people waiting for over two and a half hours and there parcels weren't even there.
"Yodel for some reason couldn't find them in the depot so people were getting very frustrated."
A Yodel spokesperson commented:
“We are aware that a number of customers wanted to collect their parcels from our Bellshill Depot today and can confirm that everyone who came to do so has now successfully received their parcel.
“We are also conscious that owing to customers arriving without pre-booking a collection they did unfortunately have a brief waiting time.
"To ensure customers are able to collect their parcels as quickly and smoothly as possible, we kindly ask that they arrange a collection booking online using our website 24 hours in advance.
"Please go to yodel.co.uk/help and select the collecting my parcel option.”
