XR protestors stage rally outside BAE Systems

Climate change protestors have been demonstrating outside BAE Systems on Govan Road in Glasgow, in anger at the firm being awarded government contracts.

The XR group marched there from the Home Office in Cessnock earlier this afternoon, before blocked the road to hold a rally, singing sings and giving speeches.

Extinction Rebellion and other groups have staged a series of events since COP26 began in Glasgow.

They say they're planning "high impact" disruption during the summit.

Upwards of 58,000 people are expected at a march and rally in Glasgow on Saturday the 6th of November.
