Police are appealing for information after a woman was robbed in a supermarket car park in Blantyre yesterday.

Shortly after 11.30pm a 48 year old woman was packing her shopping into her car at the Asda in Clydeview Shopping Centre, Glasgow Road, when she was approached by a man who was unknown to her.
The man then took her phone and purse before making his way out of the car park.
The woman was not hurt.
The man is described as between 25 and 30 years old, 5ft5 to 5ft10, of medium build, with short dark hair, a small scar on his left cheek, and a possible tattoo on the right side of his neck.
He was wearing a white t-shirt with dark piping around the collar and sleeves, a light blue Chelsea FC zipper with white piping down the sleeves, dark jogging bottoms and white trainers.
Detective Constable Euan Wallace from Cambuslang CID said: “Thankfully the victim was uninjured during this incident but it was still a terrifying ordeal for her and it is important that we trace the person responsible as soon as possible.
“I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed what happened, or who may have seen a man matching the above description acting suspiciously, to please come forward.”
